Residents, businesses and local community groups are encouraged to attend one of two grant funding forums on Thursday, March 9 to learn about new funding opportunities and share tips about writing successful applications.
“Participants will work through an application, learning skills to make their project submission more likely to succeed,” Parkes Shire Council's grants officer Sally Chapman said.
“Additionally, a case study of a successful local project funded under a number of different grant programs will also be showcased.
“Groups and individuals with similar ideas will come together, share thoughts and skills via a round table of ideas and networking opportunities.”
Participants will also hear from a Northparkes Mines representative about their Community Investment Program, which is now open with applications closing on April 30.
All community groups, sporting groups, schools and other organisations are welcome to attend one of two workshops – an afternoon session from 2pm to 4pm and a night session from 6pm to 8pm at the Coventry Room.
Please reserve your place by emailing ellie.odonoghue@parkes.nsw.gov.au or phoning 6861 2398.
