Pre-pop art, Andy Warhol found his first 15 minutes of fame on Madison Avenue

"Being good in business is the most fascinating kind of art," Andy Warhol once said. Not for him the lot of the starving artist. In 1949, the 20-year-old unknown illustrator with acne arrived in Manhattan from Pittsburgh with a portfolio of drawings and plans to find fame and fortune in advertising.
