Ben Evans set the pace last week when there was some serious heat coming off his forehands. He whipped Kyle Dargin who made the trip in from Condo for the night. Great to see Kyle having a crack and we look forward to his involvement in tennis in Parkes.

Ben inspired his team mates with Lachy Tassell and Connor Morgan who both scored wins in their singles and the Deuce Bage went on to win 5 sets to 1 overall.
Smash Hits and Spin’n’Win had a cracker match with the Line 1’s Zac Hodges(Spin’n’Win) and Julian Fyfe(Smash Hits) going hard at it with Zac showing some of his junior form in only 2 weeks back in comp tennis to score a 6/4 win.
Badih Mansour and Tyron Phillips improved their skills from Round 1 but it wasn’t enough against the experience of Ang Porter teaming with Joe Doyle with Smash Hits taking a 4 sets to 2 win.
Full of Excuses were a different looking line-up last week with Helen Standen stepping up to Line 1 to take on Irsan Yong while Matt King and Virginia Rice were enthusiastic subs for Full of Excuses and had a tough task on their hands as they battled against the guile and craftiness of Daya Peiris and Owen Jensen. The Bandan Bandits led by Irsan proved too solid scoring a 4 sets to 2 win.
JAG turned the tables on Teen-Aces from last comp with Justine Fisher, Andrew Hayne and Gary Morgan determined to seek revenge. Three of the six sets went 6/5 and were all hard fought but played in the best spirit. JAG came away with a 4 sets to 2 win.
Max Keith proved the value of his match fee payment when he subbed into the Davis Cup line-up alongside Scott Knights and Kurt Matthews. It would be fair to suggest an upset was looming when Scott displayed his left handed extreme skill to out play Graeme Tanswell who couldn’t quite get his rhythm in sync last week. Hannah and Amelia Tanswell both battled hard against Max and Kurt but the Davis Cup boys prevailed 4 sets to 2 before heading back to the Comfort Inn to celebrate their Valentine’s Day victory.
Top Shelf captain Michael Green had plenty of reasons to smile last week as he headed onto court with freshly strung and gripped racquets and found his timing and court sense had improved in just a week. He smashed Adam Jones in their singles set but Adam got some revenge when he partnered brother Troy to score a 6/3 win over Michael and Sheridan Kirk. Cody Kirk proved the difference when he delivered a belter of a set against Jockey 6/0 to help guide Top Shelf to a 2 game win over Trev’s Troopers.
Net Result and Bush Pigs were evenly matched. The line 1 singles was a ripper with Brenden Weekes and Jason McKinnon having plenty of rallies and covering a lot of court chasing down shots. It was Brenden who eventually won 6/4.
Andrew Skinner showed his class though at Line 2 and easily accounted for Abbey Kennedy 6/1 but it wasn’t enough as Net Result took a 4 sets to 2 win.
