Sarah is now off to the Royal Easter Show to represent our group and compete against other young judge finalists from across NSW.
The Young Judges competition is for young people under 25 years of age.
To win the group final Sarah examined four fleeces and put them in rank order with the best at number one.
Sarah had the correct order according to experienced judges and was selected to move into the next phase of the competition.
This involved Sarah giving an oral presentation justifying the order in which she placed the fleeces.
The judges were impressed with Sarah’s knowledge and articulate presentation announcing Sarah as the overall winner.
Sarah is in Year 12 at Parkes High School and studies 2 unit Agriculture as one of her HSC subjects.
Last year, Parkes High School’s Peta O’Brien came second in the NSW HSC for Agriculture.
Sarah competed against 29 other young judges at Eugowra some of whom were much more experienced as they currently work in the Agriculture industry.
