The jointly funded Commonwealth-State Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) provides recovery grants of up to $15,000 to help with short to medium term recovery needs.
The NSW Rural Assistance Authority can provide approval in principle for proposed work but payments will only be made in relation to tax invoices or receipts
The grants can be used to assist primary producers with recovery efforts such as removing debris, salvaging crops and stock, as well as repairing damaged equipment and farm infrastructure. Insured losses cannot be claimed.
NDRRA grant assistance is in addition to concessional loans and freight subsidies that have already been made available through the NSW Government.
To apply for a recovery grant, primary producers can complete an online application form available on the Rural Assistance Authority website.
All applications must be received by the NSW Rural Assistance Authority on or before June 19.
