Shire residents were invited to go along to Cooke Park and speak to the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party member about issues concerning them while enjoying a free barbecue.
Mr Donato said attendance was pleasing.
“It’s been a good day with a constant flow of locals,” he said.
“We’ve also met people from Tullamore, Trundle and Peak Hill.”
Mr Donato said people have a range of concerns.
“We’ve spoken on a number of issues like public transport, including transport for children, and NSW Trains,” he said.
“Others have voiced their concerns on road conditions in the area and a few have had firearm registry inquiries.”
Mr Donato welcomed Deputy Premier Barilaro’s comments on Friday vowing "to put an end to the local government mergers in the bush".
