The event's lineup has undergone a transformation to have a music concert focus.
Tullamore Irish Festival Committee president, Paul Stanbrook, said the new format will see each act perform 1.5 hour sets.
“The 2017 format will mirror that of a concert, whereby the musical acts will have longer sets,” he said.
“It's expected that this extended format will enable people to sit back, unwind and relax as the sun goes down.
“Your general admission ticket will grant you an all-access pass to the festivities, including the feature artists on both evenings.”
The event kicks off on Good Friday with Peter Byrne returning to the festival as Friday's headliner with band Celtic Beat. They will take the audience on an inspirational musical journey, covering 60 years of Irish songs and humour.
Saturday's entertainment will be capped off with Irish favourite, Damien Leith supported by the outstanding Seltic Sirens. This is Damien's third time to Tullamore, having performed at the festival in 2013 and 2016.
"Aside from the fantastic music, there'll be plenty to see and do at the festival including market stalls, food, face painting, rides, and unique Irish games to keep everyone entertained. The entertainment is free for kids all day on the Saturday," Mr Stanbrook said.
For those wanting the witness the spectacular Tullamore sunset, accommodation is still available for Friday and Saturday evenings, including the popular 'Tent Town' located a short distance from the festival grounds.
