defeated Pitbulls 6/155 in 30 overs (Shane Jones 52, Nick Parker 29, Jacob Parker 23no, Max Maier 2/21 off 3, Brad Parker 1/17 off 6 and Adam Parker 1/17 off 6). Galahs (4 pointts) defeated Pitbulls (1 point) by 1 wicket.
This match between Galahs and Pitbulls eventuated in a thrilling conclusion as Galahs snatched an exciting 1 wicket victory over a gallant Pitbulls team.
Batting first the Pitbulls could be well satisfied with their tally of 6/155 off 30 overs.
Shane Jones led the way scoring 52 runs and was well supported by Nic and Jacob Parker.
In reply the Galahs had consistent top order batting from Jack Murray, Adam Parker, Jayden Capple, Brad Parker and Mitch Hutchings.
They appeared certain of victory as the score stood at 4/152 only to see a batting collapse to be 9/154.
It took cool heads from Korine Coleman and David Parker to give the Galahs an exciting victory.
At Northparkes Oval:
Reedy Creek Gold 5/144 in 23 overs (Jackson Glasheen 25, Brad Watt 24, Will Searl 20, Paul Carty 19 no, Russell Bicket 2/25 off 5, Harry Dawson 2/34 off 3)
defeated Rusty Buckets 8/137 off 30 overs (James Ward 33, Harry Dawson 28, Ian Ward 17, Will Searl 4/28 off 4 and Benji Glasheen 2/20 off 3).
Reedy Creek Gold (4 points) defeated Rusty Buckets (1 point) by 5 wickets.
In a game played in hot conditions, a fine all round performance by Reedy Golds Will Searl played a good part in bringing victory to the very competitive Reedy Golf team over the gallant Rusty Buckets unit.
James Ward and Harry Dawson scored good runs for the buckets as they batted out their allocated overs.
However consistent batting from Reedy Golds batmen ensured they recorded a solid victory.
At Greg Morrissey Field:
Bowling Club 8/250 in 30 overs with Brett Hutchings 57, Matt Swindle 44, Brad Gardiner 41, Shaun Bateson 32 and Adam Parker 35 were able to hammer the bowling and take advantage of some dropped catches.
The opening partnership of 69 runs between Matt Swindle and Brett Hutchings suggested both players were trying to replicate David Warners batting display.
The Pythons were able to claw back into the game when Joe Van Opynen produced a tactical masterstroke by introducing Phil Bernard (3/8) and Michael Hocking (2/24) into the attack.
In reply to Bowling Club's big score of 8/250 in 30 overs the Pythons proved themselves to be worthy opponents as they tallied 9/193 in 30 overs.
Bowling Clubs Captain Matt Swindle was a most welcome return from victory as he completed a top all round game to capture 5/22 off 5 overs.
Bowling Club ( 5points) eventually won by 57 runs over Pythons (0 points) in a match played in very good spirit.
The other two B Grade games were not played as Reedy Green (5 points) received a forfeit from Beefeaters (-4) and Star Hotel (0 points) and Honey Badgers (0 points) both agreed to forfeit to each other due to limited players being available.
At Woodward Oval:
Commercials 199 in 39.2 overs (Brent Tucker 51, Myles Smith 29, Paul Dunford 26, Jack Barker 14, Anthony Riach 3/54 off 10, Dale Matheson 2/22 of 4 and Henry Johns 1/2 off 1.2)
defeated Cambridge 117 in 30.3 overs (Dale Matheson 24, Graeme Bayliss 19, Zach Bayliss 17, Myles Smith 4/34, Jack Barker 3/20 and Jack Yelland 1/6 off 1).
Commercials (4 pointts) defeated Cambridge (1 point) by 82 runs.
Batting first Commercials scored good early runs courtesy of Myles Smith and Paul Dunford before Brent Tucker played a match winning innings of 51.
Brent received good support from Jack Barker.
Anthony Riach worked hard for Cambridge to limit the scoring while he also took useful wickets.
In reply none of the Cambridge batsmen could build promising starts into substantial innings as they lost wickets at regular intervals to be all out for 117.
Myles Smith and Jack Barker completed fine all round games for Commercials with good bowling performances.
