160 photos were entered in the 2017 Parkes Elvis Festival Photo Exhibition and competition, with the winners being announced on Friday afternoon.

Photographer Peter Nelson from Centennial Park was the winner of the smartphone category with his photo "Breakfast of King". Vicki Knight from Toormina received a highly commended for her image ""I think I'm Gonna Like it here".
Parkes local photographer Julie Brown was successful in the digital portrait and black and white categories with her images titled "Alvis" and "Elvis Finale".
The winning image in the digital colour category was "Cadillac Wing" by Christian Uhrig, another Parkes local.
The overall highly commended image was "Breakfast of King" by Peter Nelson, with Christian Uhrig winning the overall champion with his photo "Cadillac Wing".
The winners were announced by Mayor Councillor Ken Keith, Sharon Morgan and Jodie Goonrey representatives from John Holland sponsor for the event, supported by Angela Wilson from Central West Autism and Special Needs Awareness Group.
Manager Cultural, Education and Library Services Shellie Buckle, enjoys hosting the event each year.
"The judges were impressed with the standard of photos entered this year. The exhibition showcases the fun, characters and events of the Parkes Elvis Festival" said Shellie.
