The surprise victory by CWCU Kaos over the previously unbeaten Telescope Tyres side in the Parkes Golf Club’s highly popular Super 6’s Golf competition has led to an exciting end to the Preliminary rounds before the competition is split into two divisions.

Telescope Tyres lead the list of qualifiers of teams that appear certain to progress to the Championship Division which will commence after the Christmas break on Sunday 15th January.
Many of the remaining eight teams are still in contention and will then constitute the Consolation Division.
Alll teams will then start afresh seven weeks of competition in which all teams will play one another in a Round Robin format that will see the winners declared in both Divisions at the end of the competition.
It appears certain that the defending titleholders All Settlers, Poodle Patters and IGA All Stars will join the competition leaders.
Just who will join these four teams after Christmas will come down to who can record victories in the current round which concludes tonight and who wins in the final round commencing this Sunday.
With a further six teams still in contention for the remaining four positions victories in the remaining rounds is essential as the Ding Swingers, 28 points, B & B 1, Mexican Jewellers and the Coachman Condors are all on 24 points .
The Cellar Crows will lament forfeiting two matches as they sit on 24 alongside the CWCU Kaos team.
In round 7 matches currently being contested Cellar Crows are opposed to the CWCU Kaos.
The Poodle Patters are playing the Mexican Jewellers.
And in the final round commencing this Sunday Telescope Tyres take on Cellar Crows and IGA All Stars will be out to nail the Mexican Jewellers.
The other matches on Sunday involve Grip It & Sip It who play Pigs.
The Ding Swingers face up to CWCU Kaos.
Finne’s Fledglings play the Coachman Condors.
The Poodle Patters face the B & B2 side.
The Birdies play the B & B 1’s and All Settlers are being challenged by the Royal Hotel.
Results from Round 6 saw victories to CWCU Kaos, Coachman Condors, Cellar Crows, B & B1, Mexican Jewellers, Royal Hotel, All Settlers and IGA All Stars.
The highlight of the round was definitely the match between the All Settlers side and Poodle Patters.
In a very closely contested match All Settlers gained a narrow 2 ½ shot victory 130 ½ to 133 over Poddle Patters in a low scoring match.
All players are requested to check to Super 6’s Noticeboard.
Please note the noticeboard is now located under the verandah near the Ladies locker room.
Many of you have either vouchers or golf balls to collect from the clubs Bar staff.
These are all noted on the noticeboard.
All Settlers won the previous Super 6s competition which was decided in March of this year.
