The Coachman Hotel Motel has hopped onboard the sponsor train, where owner Nelson Kelly has decided to throw its support behind the local side next season.
“We’re happy to be onboard and support the Spacemen,” Nelson said.
Spacemen coach Andrew Porter was pleased to make the official announcement this week.
“We’d like to welcome our new major sponsor the Coachman Hotel,” Porter said.
“We’re trying to really get the team together and this will give them another place to go.”
The announcement on Wednesday also allowed Porter to declare the club’s first official training run, which will take place on Saturday from 9am at Pioneer Oval.
The training will be open to all grades in rugby league.
Anyone interested is welcome to head to Pioneer Oval to check it out.
“We’re always looking for players,” Moran said.
“But anyone interested to see what it’s all about can come down and have a look,” he said.
“We’ll also be coming back to the Coachie afterwards,” Porter added.
Coaches for 2017 are: first grade Dennis Moran, reserves George Wright, Under 18s Luke Clarke and Todd Jayet, league tag Natalie Gardiner and Joe Spicer.
