Trundle Junior Cricket: The Association’s seventh game was played at Berryman Oval against Kiacatoo. In sweltering conditions Trundle fielded first.
Once again fielding has improved for all team members and Trundle took three quick wickets in five overs with just 27 runs scored. This left the Kiackatoo’s batting line up a little worried.
Lachlan Barnes brought it home for Kiacatoo with a massive 81 runs and Kiacatoo were 5/157 after 30 overs.
Well done to Eric Fernando half of three overs, Jim Ramsey 0/3 of two overs and William Taylor one-quarter of three overs.
Impressive fielding took four wickets. Congratulations to Jake Callow on his beautiful catch, also a mention to Tommy Morgan for getting a run out.
After a lovely ice block break(thank you Kelly Lee) Trundle went into bat. Impressive bowling from Lachlan Barnes who made the wickets fall quickly - 3/17 after five overs.
Once the batters has settled in they delivered some great runs. Well done to Tommy Morgan for his 13 runs also to Noah Byrne for seven runs, Noah Byrne, three, William Taylor, two and Eric Fernando, one.
Trundle cricketers need to give themselves a pat on the back. Each week they continue to improve and increase their team spirit. It was 38 degrees on Saturday and they played until the end.
Thank you to the Kiacatoo dads stepped in to umpire for Trundle.

Obituary for Rhonda Annette Pascoe: Rhonda was born on March 3 1955 at Camperdown hospital, the second child to Don and Heather Brown, later she became the wife of Allen, mother of Annette and Darryl, grandmother of Ethan and Jye, mother-in-law of Nicole.
Rhonda had a real love for animals, especially horses, even though allergies made it very hard. As a youngster, living close to Bankstown trots, she would rush down to warm up the horses before the races.
Then came Allen, and they married on September 9, 1972.
They made their first home in Goolgowi on the family farm and they were an excellent match, as Rhonda was destined to be a farm girl. They spent seven years in the Goolgowi district, both at the local pub and on farms.
Her next home, the wide open spaces of “Palisthan Station” Condobolin, was in the middle of nowhere. It was a trying time with enduring drought, then, the best crop ever got rained on.
Next they became the proud owners of the Temora Hotel.
Rhonda loved the pub. She took care of the kitchen and Allen the bar. Her rissoles and tuna patties became famous. They got involved with the trots and met some long lasting friends. Rhonda was really happy and life was never boring with her around.
In 1990 they purchased Trundle Hotel, and while Rhonda and Allen had some time away, Trundle has been the community where they have spent a larger portion of their lives.
There were many happy adventures for Rhonda, who followed along with some of Allen’s ‘out there activities’.
After the pub life came the very outback life of ‘Karinya’ Hermidale, approximately 10,000 acres that ran goats, cattle, sheep and crops.
Rhonda’s love was for the goats. She went to Sydney to learn more about marketing and goat farming from ‘Paddock to Plate’ and was involved in the local CWA.
Rhonda and Allen also enjoyed visits from the girls at Uniting Care Burnside. They worked together to organise education systems and groups to support farmers in the area. They developed knowledge and understanding of issues that affected families in relation to drought and the impact this can have on people’s mental health.
Then finally it came time to depart Karinya for ‘Huntingdale’, Trundle.
Rhonda was looking forward to spending time with her family and all she wanted was a nice home and nice friends. She so much enjoyed reuniting with good friends Mark and Cathy Robbo.
The last few months, possibly years, were especially challenging for Rhonda, and her life came to an end on Melbourne Cup Day, after a weekend spent with her family and friends.
Rhonda had a great love for animals, her roses, orchids, children and grandchildren, but most of all, her love and commitment was for Allen. He was her life and her everything.
