There are just two more major events on – The McDonalds/Magill interschool tennis day on Monday, December 12, involving some 96 children from Parkes Public, Parkes East, Middleton and Holy Family.
Then on Friday, December 16 at 4pm-7pm will be the annual Bokeyar Cups, which involves players from five years playing red ball Hotshots right through to 17 years competing in the Bokeyar Cups junior singles championships.
This event is open to Parkes juniors only and names must be in to Helen by Wednesday, December 14.
HOTSHOTS
ANZHotShots finished last Friday and will recommence early February.
The courts will be available Friday, December 9 for Free Friday from 3pm through to 8pm for anyone wishing to come and practise.
JUNIOR COMP
The singles and doubles final round of both the Blue and Red divisions were played last Tuesday, with Joseph Tanswell and Gabe Goodrick taking out the Blue division from Maddy McCormick and Nia Boggs.
The Red division was won by Molly Kennedy and Charlie Strudwick with runners-up Michael Riley and Kaid Lydford.
All players enjoyed a pizza party before Helen made it home from commitments in Melbourne to be at presentations and thank all the players and their families for another great year.
Parkes Tennis wishes Ebony Fisher all the best as she heads off to boarding school next year.
Eb has been an enthusiastic junior for some years and it will be sad to no longer see her happy face and wise words floating around the courts.
