About 86 of them turned out for the occasion.
The following day, on Thursday, November 24, the local community organisation held a Christmas luncheon for its clients.
Manager Gillian Kinsela said the local volunteers are among the 15,000 volunteers in the state.
Meals on Wheels covers Parkes, Trundle, Peak Hill, Tullamore and Bogan Gate.
“We really appreciate what they (volunteers) do for us,” she said.
“We cook 300 meals a week.
“They’re our lifeblood, we wouldn’t be here without them.”
