The heartbroken mother of a woman killed crossing the road in Sydney's south says she would do anything to change places with her daughter.

Danielle McGrath, 26, was struck by a truck as she crossed The Kingsway, near the intersection of Port Hacking Road, at Caringbah, at 7:40am on Tuesday while on her daily journey to the local train station.
Ms McGrath, who worked as a business affairs co-ordinator for television production company Endemol Shine Australia, died at the scene. Police believe she was crossing while the pedestrian light was green when she was hit by the truck as it turned right.
The driver of the prime mover, a 59-year-old Illawong man, was taken to Miranda police station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.
Ms McGrath's mother, Helen Kerr McGrath, on Wednesday made a public post on Facebook saying how she longed to hold her daughter in her arms one last time.
"If I could change places with you I would do this in an instant," she wrote. "I loved you the moment you were born, not a day went by that you would make someone smile and laugh.
"I don't know how I am every going to get through this and I will be waiting everyday to have our regular call just to tell me you love me. I love you more than you will every know and I pray that you are loved in heaven as you were loved by everyone here."
Ms McGrath's brother, William McGrath, described her as a "friend and now my angel" and no words could describe how much he will miss her.
"You were always there for me and anyone who ever needed you, your laugh and energy was infectious you could light up any situation," Mr McGrath wrote.
"I love you so much my beautiful sister. Thank you for always being the one to ditch the Barbies to play cars with me and acting as the brother I never had. The world will never be the same without you taken way too soon!"
Ms McGrath was the 61st pedestrian killed on NSW roads in 2016, nine more than at the same time in 2015. The 2016 road toll stands at 335, 34 more than at this time in 2015 and 51 deaths higher than the three-year average for this time of year.
The truck driver was granted police bail and is due to appear in Sutherland Local Court on December 8.
