A 40-year-old Parkes woman failed a roadside drug test last Saturday night. She was stopped by police in Bogan Street at 10.30pm where she returned a negative result on a breath test, however, she tested positive for drugs.

The woman was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station for a further test which detected cannabis and methamphetamine in her system.
She was issued with a 24 hour suspension on her licence. A further sample will be sent for analysis before any charges are laid.

A Samsung Galaxy mobile phone was stolen from a white Toyota Landcruiser utility parked in a Welcome Street car park on Tuesday.
The vehicle was left locked with a window partially down between 3.15pm and 3.30pm.
When the owner returned, the vehicle was unlocked and the phone was missing from the passenger seat.
