Local embroiderers’ talents will be on display at the library from November 1.
The exhibition will include contemporary techniques, as well as more well- known traditional techniques such as cross stitch, canvas work, hardanger and metal thread work.
Members of the Embroiders Guild NSW, Parkes branch, will demonstrate their art on various days throughout the exhibition, which concludes on November 30.
The collection of Stitched Circles that featured in the Embroiderers' Guild NSW Inc exhibit at the 2015 Sydney Quilt and Craft Fair at Glebe Island, will also be on display.
Each embroiderer created an individual piece of their own design and chosen technique, using a white background fabric and a specified colour palette.
The result is a colourful and quirky embroidery collection.
Meanwhile it has been a couple of years since the Parkes Potters exhibited in Parkes.
On Friday evening, November 25, they are opening a wonderful exhibition of functional pieces, as well as, sculptural artworks.
The exhibition will close at 4pm on Saturday, November 26.
