This is the second year in a row that they have invited the local Lachlan Community Orchestra, singing group Tapestry, and our very talented soloist Gordon Richter on the Clarinet.
The grand finale of the concert combined LCO and PSCB playing Amazing Grace with Music Director Duncan Clement conducting and playing the bagpipes - yes very talented!
Our community commitments have seen us playing at the Christian School Spring Fete, and the Classic Car Club that stayed over in Parkes last weekend.
In November five members will travel to Leeton to play at the fifth Leeton Outback Band Spectacular, we will perform as Parkes Ensemble, combine and play with Leeton Town Band, and the Massed Band.
If readers are not aware of this amazing weekend in Leeton, check it out on the web, as music friendships are forged.
PSCB members have been attending this event since its inception.
December is fast approaching, and we will be playing in the Christmas Street Parade and at the Christmas Carols.
Look out for us at our usual December Saturday mornings playing for the shoppers.
January 2017 PSCB will be leading the 25th Elvis Street Parade.
If any musicians out there will be in Parkes for this massive weekend, please contact Duncan Clement if you’re interested to playout with us in the parade.
If you used to play an instrument or would like to learn, contact Duncan.
Rehearsals on Tuesday 7-9pm during school term, above the Pool Complex.
PSCB are keen to playout more in the community, so let us know if you have an event on.
