Sunday’s 18-hole four person Ambrose was well contested, with the day being sponsored by Tooheys and a resounding win was recorded by the team of Peter Picker, Brian Hogan, Ian Phipps and Richard Wells.
They returned an excellent 40 1/8 net to be clear winners with Phil Wennerbom, Matt Wright, Dale Gunn and Kap Pili runners up on 44 ½.
In third place was the team of Phil Smith, Paul Murray, Dave Hanson and Robert Rea on 44 7/8 with the remaining trophies to the father and son team of Wayne and Cameron Butler and Graham and Sam Turner on 45 1/2.
Special awards were presented to junior golfers Harry Simpson, Grady Magill and Kasey Fay-Rice.
PRESENTATION NIGHT:
Members are urged to book tables for the club’s presentation night on Saturday November 5 commencing at 7pm.
A delicious smorgasbord meal will be provided for a minimal cost of just $25 per person with live music.
NSW FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The NSW Men’s Foursomes Championships will be held on the weekend November 5 and 6 at the Campbelltown Golf Club and members are urged to attend with entry forms available from Golf NSW or from the club.
NSW COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS & REGIONAL TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The NSW Country Championships will be held this weekend at the Goulburn Golf Club and the club will be well represented by Justin Sutton, Mitch McGlashan and Cameron Butler.
The club wishes them all the best as they do for the Lachlan Valley District team also containing the Betland brothers John and Steve and Lee Grierson from Forbes and a bold showing is anticipated after their 7th placing last year.
THIS WEEKEND:
This Saturday the men will contest an 18 hole stableford for the Totally Workwear trophy on Saturday while the ladies will play a Canadian Foursome with the ladies match committee providing the trophies.
On Sunday the club will play a nine hole medley stableford for a Club Trophy while Condobolin Golf Club will conduct its washed out Open and it is hoped as many members as possible can make the trip west.
