This new innovation for Parkes Senior Cricket has come about when only two teams nominated for an 'A' Grade competition in 2016/17.
The vast majority of teams opted to play in the popular 'B' Grade competition.

At Northparkes Oval: Commercials 1/216 in 27 overs (Brent Tucker 114 no, Hugh Mackenzie 66, Nick Strudwick 1/18 off 3) defeated Bowling Club 10/213 (Brent Hutchings 31, M Swindle 19, Alec Bateson 16 no, Will Moore 3/30 off 6, Myles Smith 3/18 off 7, Stephen Purcell 2/19 off 6, Blake Smith 1/5 off 5).
