Kaye Vernon, one of the original founders of Teapot Genealogy, has spent thousands of hours indexing records, reading tiny entries on microfilm and deciphering elaborate handwriting, to make genealogical research easier and faster.
Suzanne Voytas has been a compulsive family history researcher for years.
Suzanne has helped many people discover their family history and enjoys helping new researchers learn how to and to avoid the many pitfalls of family history research.
Library Officer Dan Fredericks, organiser of the event, is looking forward to meeting Kaye and Suzanne and learning from them.
"Kaye will share her tips about finding family history gems using unusual records from the State Records of NSW and tell stories about the plight of children during the 19th and 20th centuries,” Dan said.
“Suzanne will be covering Feast to Famine - Irish research and a session on "It is not all on the Internet”.”
The workshops are being held on Monday, October 24, commencing at 10am and concluding at 3.30pm.
Lunch is provided.
