FROM TRUNDLE TO WOORREE AND BACK – PART 3
Thursday evening was filled with fishing at Geraldton Marina, where Charlene Coomes (nee Macdonald) took Harry, Elysse and the five children for a sunset-twilight fish off the rock wall.
Jake proudly caught two rock cod on a hand reel. The children enjoyed seeing crabs crawling on the rocks, squid swimming towards the torch even though they were unsuccessful in catching any for dinner, rock cod and sharks!
Sadly Friday morning was the last in Geraldton. Then commenced the 4000+km trip home.
Friday night’s stop over was Southern Cross then onto the next stop over Kalgoorlie where the group stayed the rest of the day and took in the sights of the town, including a visit to the super pit mine lookout.
Sunday's stop over was a return to Madura Roadhouse. Monday was the long windy Nullabor stretch to Ceduna SA and a stop over in Shelly Beach again. Tuesday the group was faced with high winds again, but pushed into Broken Hill.
While the trip was long and tiresome all enjoyed their time away. Where to next?
