The evening, held at the Bushman’s Motor Inn in Parkes on July 9, featured a number of local Rotarians, district Rotarians and special guests.
Among the guests were Rotary district governor Michael Milston and past Rotary district governor Ian Simpson.
Following a three course meal and some entertain – including a fine fundraising campaign from Peter Thompson – it was down to business with the presentation of awards and the induction of the new president and board.
Outgoing president Rex Veal gave his outgoing president’s address before David Hughes – a former president himself – was named this year’s president. The night concluded with the presentation of the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award, announced by district governor Michael Milston to Parkes Rotarian Peter Sgarlata.
