A local event is taking place in a corridor of land adjacent to the Parkes Waste Depot, with access via the Condobolin Road on Sunday, July 31.
Activities start from 10am and will conclude with a sausage sizzle at 1pm.
National Tree Day is Australia’s largest tree-planting and nature care event. Each year over 300,000 people take part in National Tree Day events at 3000 sites.
CWLL helped Parkes Shire Council plant a portion of the 5000 trees that council received funding to establish as part of the 20 Million Trees Program, by running National Tree Day at the Akuna Road site last year.
Parkes Toyota have also been a constant support for National Tree Day. They have once again shown their support by providing Tree Day merchandise and tree guards, for not only Tree Day, but other Landcare projects throughout the next 12 months.
