Two games of Triples will be played commencing at 10am at $10 per player.

Thursday, July 21 – 22 players turned out to play four games of Pairs and one of Triples. In their Pairs match, Col Hayward and Graham Barby got off to a flying start against John Corcoran and Geoff Freeman to lead 7-0 after the first three ends.
They continued dominate the scoring, with the lead 17 -8 after 14 ends. Col and Graham claimed the victory, 19 -16.
Wally Grant, Gladrin Sun and Greg Huggins were behind on the scoreboard in the early ends of the Triples and after 12 ends Graham Dixon, Bill Skinner and Jim Blake had a narrow lead, 9-7.
But it was the three shots from Graham’s team on the last end that won the match 17-16.
In the other Pairs matches John Ward and Les Kent had a win against Arthur Corbett and Mike Valentine, Steve Ryan and Ray Jones were too good for John Hodge and Rob Irving and Dave Buggie and John Watson had a convincing win over Guy Ellery and Gordon Dickson.
The prize for the day was won by the Triples team of Graham Dixon, Bill Skinner and Jim Blake. Runners-up went to John Ward and Les Kent.
Saturday, July 23 – In the Triples match, the team of John Hodge, Les Kent and George Bradley lead 15-3 after nine ends before John Ward, Gary McPhee and Jim Blake fought back to level the scores, 15 all, after 14ends. John Hodge’s team dominated the scoring to run out winners 25-15.
The Pairs match finished with a similar score line when Tom Furey and Dave Johnson defeated Col Hayward and Mark Dwyer 25-16.
Prize winners on the day were Tom Furey and Dave Johnson.
