Rosemary Mitchell (Craft Corner President), said we all like to natter so why not knit as well.
“Several members of the public donate their time to knit or crochet squares 10'' x10'' (25cmx25cm), 50 stitches x 50 rows, 8ply acrylic yarn,” Rosemary said.
Anyone who would like to help are welcome to drop their completed squares or rugs to Craft Corner throughout the year. The squares are collected by ABC Radio Central West.
“They are then taken by Rotary volunteers to a warehouse in Alexandria (Sydney) where they are joined together into rugs. These rugs are then distributed to the greatest need in Australia and overseas,” she said.
