One of Australia’s most successful recording artists, Adam Brand, will host the family entertainment spectacular, featuring USA Monster Trucks, FMX, jet car, fireworks and lots of other crazy high octane stunts.
The show’s owner, Troy Garcia, has a long and colourful driving history.
“When I was a young bloke I was always thrashing, crashing and rolling cars which led me to driving speedway,” Troy said.
“I competed all over the country as a speedway driver in the novelty events - the ‘’crash and bash”, demolition derbies, and the car and caravan races.
From there Troy was offered the opportunity to drive monster trucks.
“This is my 20th year driving them and I now own six,” Troy said.
Monster trucks have come a long way and the show is not just about driving over cars and crushing stuff.
“The trucks have become freestyle racing monster trucks,” Troy said.
“The jumps we do are high and big so they’re more like motorbikes these days. In the old days we would just crush over cars but now we jump them high in the air.”
“We even have a jet car - a car with a helicopter jet engine in it. The after burn mode of the jet car will keep the crowd warm!"
Troy said after all these years and all his experience he still gets a little nervous before each show.
“There’s always a big build up between shows in promoting it and the hype around town which naturally creates some anticipation,” he said.
“Once I get that first jump out of the way, then I’m right.”
Troy said the insane stunt show includes some of the world’s best freestyle Monster Trucks featuring champion drivers.
“We have a rollover truck called ‘Syco Sam’, and the kids favourite truck ‘Spot’ is guaranteed to create maximum destruction as he goes up against the wild card ‘Chevy Roo’ and competes against ‘Devil’s Taxi’, ‘Tassie Devil’ and ‘Old Skool’.
“Everyone loves the freestyle motocross guys doing backflips and high flying stunts, a wheel standing jeep, demolition derby, bizarre car stunts, crazy clowns and a spectacular fireworks display,” Troy said
“We even have a jet car - a car with a helicopter jet engine in it. The after burn mode of the jet car will keep the crowd warm!
“And of course we have Adam Brand, twelve-time Golden Guitar winner coming along to host the show.”
Troy said the show goes for approximately two hours.
“It’s a kids show, so we don’t like to drag it much out further than that,” he said.
Gates open at 1.30pm.
For $10 you can have a ride around the track on the back of the ‘Barefoot’ monster truck.
The feature acts start at 4.30pm and the show will conclude with the fireworks display around 6.45pm.
