RAT-BAGS will go into tonights final as hot favourites having only lost a handful of sets this competition. 

Brenden Weekes has been in red hot form and his team members youngsters Georgia Sideris and Abbey Kennedy always give 100% and will be tested by the court craft and tactics of their much more experienced opponents in the Bandana Bandits. 

The ‘Bandits’ fearless leader, the Irsan Yong, the smiling assassin Daya Peiris and the consummate gentleman Owen Jensen will scheme and strategise ways to take away the fresh legs of their youthful opponents. 

It’s sure to be a ripper match and hotly contested for the Championship trophy.

Third place Topspinners were unlucky not to make the big final missing out by a single set. 

Julian Fyfe, Michael Somers and Matt Schnelle have combined well in their second comp together and will want to finish their comp on a high and will take on the always unknown quantity in Trev’s Troopers. 

Adam Jones, Steve Skinner, Troy Jones and Mick Hackett will have sat down around the ‘office’ table over the weekend to discuss stringent selection procedures in an attempt to get their best team on the court. 

This could be an interesting match and no doubt Adam Jones’ sledging whether he is on court or not will be a feature and could prove the difference between the teams.

The playoff for 5rd and 6th may well be more fiercely contested than the main event as White’s Electrical teams will take on each other. 

The banter started as the final scoreboard was revealed last week and no doubt the morning tea room has been full of sledging. 

The Ace’s prediction is for captain Marc Ralph to have a blinder for White’s Electrical and run more than 10metres for the night while Aaron ’bickie’ Arnott who by the way has had his racquet restrung for the big match, will send down half a dozen or more big aces for Not Another Whites with Corey Rowbotham on the receiving end replying with ‘Oh I wasn’t ready...replay’. 

 Two teams of the most genuine men and no matter who wins their grudge match they’ll be straight to the pub for a couple of quiet ones in celebration of another comp done and dusted with both teams avoiding the wooden spoon.
