A 32 year old Parkes man will face court after police allegedly located drugs and weapons at his home.

Police executed a search warrant on an address in Maguire Road on Thursday morning.
During the search, police allegedly located various types of prohibited drugs, drug paraphernalia, a firearm and a prohibited weapon.
The man wasn’t home at the time, but later attended Parkes Police Station and was arrested.
He was charged with a number of offences including possess unregistered firearm, not keep firearm safely and possess prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear in Parkes Local Court on Monday, August 1.

Parkes Fire and Rescue were called to Dalton Street last Thursday afternoon to extinguish a fire in an unoccupied upstairs unit.
Some fire damage occurred to the unit but no structural damage.
Police are investigating the matter.
