The match took almost two and a half hours and there was little chit chat in between sets as the temperature fell into single figures.
The action was all on court though and every set was hard fought as the results showed.
The difference came when Irsan Wong and Owen Jensen scored a 6/2 win over Julian Fyfe and Matt Schnelle to give Bandana Bandits a three game buffer after sets were locked at three each.
The other close match, which was decided by a mere one game, was fought out between Aces and White’s Electrical.
These players must have also decided it was too cold to sit around so they rallied on.
Holly McColl scored a 6/5 win over Corey Rowbotham while Marc Ralph turned the tables to defeat Tommy Davis in a ripper match 6/5.
White’s Electrical men came home hard in the end to relish their one game win.
Brenden Weekes has his girls in hard training and the Rat-Bags once again proved they are a dominant force this term with a five sets to one win over Not Another White’s.
Georgia Sideris and Abbey Kennedy are thriving under Brenden’s guidance and it is evident in their enjoyment and enthusiasm on court.
