The Spacecats went into the contest full of confidence, sitting in first place on the leaderboard with Westside in third.
The close contest which was expected did not eventuate as the home side put on a league tag masterclass to totally outclass the visitors 42-0.
Parkes were on top from the start as quick hands and some precision passing put Louise McAneneny over for the opening try.
Strong runs in the lead up saw Emma Bayley cross over for Parkes’ second while Claire Barber added the extras as she kicked five from eight for the day.
Sami Afele scored the home side’s third try before strong runs from Emma Bayley and Codie Wakefield set captain Hannah Kelly up for number four.
When Demi-Joyce Winters crossed twice in quick succession, any signs of a Westside fightback were doused.
An excellent intercept by Hannah Kelly saw her cross for her second and Parkes’ seventh. Still scoreless, Westside pushed hard to get on the board.
The Spacecats would not let up as they worked hard in defence for a shutout.
Hannah Kelly grabbed her third four-pointer with 10 and a half minutes left on the clock. Nat Gardiner made good ground to give Emma Bayley space heading towards the try line.
She chipped and chased, only for the speedy Ella-J Harris to beat everyone to the ball and toe it in-goal and tag the Westside player who had made good ground to cover.
Westside were forced to scramble in defence for the final minutes after they had a player sent for an early shower and Parkes still hungry for another try.
They held on for the home side to run out convincing 42 - 0 winners.
Parkes are at home again this weekend against Narromine.
The Spacecats are hoping to see a lot of locals support them as they march toward a title run.
They have only had 10 points scored against them this season and sit top of the table.
