Lachlan Health Service has contributed to the McGrath Foundation’s ‘Pull on Your Socks’ campaign, raising over $2000.
The McGrath Foundation ‘Pull on Your Socks’ campaign helps raise money to fund positions for breast care nurses across Australia to support breast cancer patients and their families.
Lachlan Health Service McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Dianne Green said her colleagues were very generous, buying 180 pairs of socks between Parkes and Forbes hospitals.
“Staff were asked to wear their socks to work to show support for the fight against breast cancer and the breast cancer nurses who do a wonderful job supporting local women and their families,” Ms Green said.
“I’m extremely pleased and proud to say we have been able to contribute $2100 to the campaign which will be put towards funding for more McGrath Foundation breast cancer nurses.”
The socks are designed to suit your personality and each come with a critique of what the design means.
“The socks are a great way to help raise money for McGrath Foundation breast cancer nurses while also having some fun – people can pick your personality through your socks!”
If you would like to order socks either individually or as a group, please visit the McGrath Foundation website: www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au and look for the ‘Pull on Your Socks’ campaign.
