And another is planned for this wek.
The workshop was presented by CentaCares Men and Family Relationships team and featured psychologist Russell Warner.
Russell provided information and answered questions on ways to tackle the unique challenges that come with raising teens.
This includes areas like effective communication, how to manage risk, how to let go in certain situations and where and when to seek support.
As this is a 2-part workshop, parents who missed out on the first week are more than welcome to come along to week 2.
The evening will provide parents with information that will help make the role of raising teens more manageable and ultimately rewarding, allowing parents to help their children gain in confidence and be better prepared for independence in the future.
The workshop will be held at the Parkes High School library from 6pm to 8pm this Thursday (May 26).
Light refreshments will be provided and it is open to all parents in the Parkes and surrounding communities.
