A man is under police guard in hospital after his three stepchildren were stabbed during a fight in Sydney's west.

Police were called to a home on Henry Kate Avenue in Bungarribee, near Blacktown, on Friday night after a 000 call was made reporting a multiple stabbing.
Three siblings, two brothers and a sister who all live at the home, were injured.
The men, 22 and 24, suffered wounds to their stomach while the woman had cuts on her arm.

The siblings were taken to Westmead Hospital, where the 22-year-old underwent surgery overnight.
His brother is expected to undergo surgery on Saturday.
Their sister is in a stable condition.
It is understood the trio's 57-year-old stepfather was arrested at the home and taken to Blacktown Hospital.
He is being treated for injuries to his face but is under police guard.
Police expect to lay charges over the domestic violence incident.
