Currently Parkes District Council has four branches: Alectown, Bogan Gate, Gunningbland and Parkes.
Due to changes in the NSW Farmers Constitution it is proposed that these branches combine to form one new Parkes Branch which will also replace the Parkes District Council.
Similarly with Mulyandri, Wirrinya and Forbes in the Forbes District Council.
N.B. It could still be possible for a Branch such as Alectown to remain a separate autonomous branch if they can rally the members for sufficient numbers for a Quorum and for Executive positions.
Due to the current lower membership numbers there is a further proposal to form a merged Forbes/Parkes Branch.
THIS MAY BE A STEP TOO FAR?
Make sure you come to the meeting and have your say!
Derek Schoen President NSWF will be in attendance to clarify and explain further developments.
Gavin Tom
Chairman NSWF Parkes Branch.
