A truck crash on the M7 in Sydney's west brought traffic to a standstill on Tuesday morning, with traffic queued for 13 kilometres at the crash scene.

Police said three semi-trailers and a vehicle collided near the Bernera Road off-ramp to the M7 at Prestons about 7am. A bobcat is believed to have fallen off the back of one of the trucks.
A NSW Police spokesman said no one appeared to have been seriously injured in the crash, which blocked one of two south-bound lanes.

The Transport Management Centre (TMC) said south-bound motorists experienced significant delays as the damaged vehicles were removed from the motorway.
Just before 9am, south-bound traffic was queued for 13 kilometres from the crash scene, almost back to The Horsley Drive at Horsley Park. By 10am, both south-bound lanes had been opened and the queue had eased to about seven kilometres, the TMC said.
All north-bound lanes of the M7 were open, however a TMC spokeswoman said traffic was slow as motorists slowed down to see what had happened.
