It was another entertaining night of tennis last week when Get Smashed took on the much more experienced Full of Excuses.

Get Smashed have been having an up and down season so far, but when they get their “A Team” on the court they can be brutal as Full of Excuses found out.
The Jones brothers, Adam and Troy, along with sub Grant Coleman produced the upset of the round when they proved the value of their pre and post match liquid diet winning four of the six sets against Andrew Rice, Helen Standen and Merren Davey.
The White’s Electrical grudge match was on the outside courts last week and did not live up to expectations.
In the absence of captain Marc Ralph, the depleted White’s Electrical could not manage a single set against White’s Electrical Too consisting of Shane Apsey and subs Aaron Arnott and Nick Tosetti (who came from the Not Another White’s Electrical crew who had the bye last week).
Plenty of banter in the tea room last Wednesday no doubt.
Zebraz and Skyrockets had a ripper match last week.
Adam and Brad Parker, along with Sheridan Kirk, made it difficult for Skyrockets Irsan Yong, Charlie Umbers and Michael Somers by getting a lot of balls back into play.
Irsan got an early break against Adam and held to take that set while Brad showed his consistency to force Charlie Umbers into error.
Michael Somers, as reliable as usual, seemed to be in the right place more often than not to score a hard fought win over Sheridan Kirk.
Scared Hitless showed their skill and experience against the younger Rac-Attack winning five of the six sets.
Yasmin and Phoebe Potts were too good for Holly McColl and Laura Kirk, but Birdee Sideris played very well to defeat Paddy Lydon in a cliffhanger - 6/5 in their singles set.
Two and a Half Men stayed at the top of the leaderboard with a convincing white wash of Mag-Nets. A competitive set was played between Gary Morgan and Georgia Sideris.
Georgia worked hard to move Gary around the court, but his experience shone through as Gary knows once the body is aging, the brain must take over on the court and play smart tennis which he did.
