(1) Saturday, December 5: educational workshop for survivors. You can bring a friend or family member for support.
(2) Friday, December 4: afternoon for all workers to learn about trauma-informed practice: all workers includes staff across diverse service settings including health, community, legal, justice, mental health, AOD, disability, housing and/or employment services.
Examples: Front desk/reception staff; administrative staff; volunteers; ancillary and support staff; new graduates in health and human services.
(3) Friday, December 4: 2 hour evening session for General Practitioners and all practice staff.
This session is brief so to suit the schedule of GPs and practice staff, yet provides enough insight to help recognise and diagnose child abuse early and provide more appropriate care.
Most of us have been directly or indirectly affected by child abuse.
To play your part and help survivors recover, make your GP and practice staff aware of these FREE certified professional development workshops: this will improve diagnosis of child abuse and provide better care.
