The ball had a Black and White theme and was held in the Trundle Memorial Hall, on Saturday, October 10. 2015.
The Trundle Children’s Centre is also commemorating 40 years of service in 2015.
The ball was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this milestone with the local community.
All past staff members were invited to attend as without them the Trundle Children’s Centre would not have been able to reach 40 years.
Special thanks goes to those who were able to attend.
It was a pleasure to share the night with one of our patrons, Mrs Sue Morrison who has been involved with the centre for many years and is still dedicated to the success and longevity of the service.
Thank you to our other patron, Mrs May Collier, who was sadly unable to attend but very kindly donated to the event.
A special presentation was made to Mrs Jo-Anne Bartyn who has been a dedicated and valued member of staff at the Trundle Children’s Centre for 38 years.
The ball featured the older children as special guests dressed as princes and princesses.
The girls were absolutely beautiful and the boys were very handsome.
The children were presented to the crowd and performed a dance at the end of the formal presentations.
The children made a special presentation with the help of their educators Courtney Yates and Felicity Franks who spoke on their behalf, to their long term educator and Director Hellen Yates, thanking her for her caring, nurturing and hard work that creates such a wonderful learning environment at the centre.
There were prizes for best-dressed lady, gent and couple on the night.
The prize winners were: Best dressed Lady - Stevie Webb; Best Dressed Gent - Chris Eyb and Best Dressed Couple - Josie and Rodney Charlton.
A special thank you goes to Hellen Yates and her staff for their hard work in organising the ball, preparing the boys and girls and their outfits, decorating the hall and cleaning up on Sunday.
Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated by the community, the management committee and especially by the children who rely on the centre for care.
The event raised $2085.
This money will go towards the purchase of some new play equipment and fixing broken areas of the playground area.
