With All Sorts and All Settlers the only unbeaten teams, bonus points appear to be the main objective as teams fight for top spot.
All Sorts have recorded two wins with bonus points while All Settlers are yet to gain any extra points.
Telescope Tyres have had a loss, but have managed also to record bonus points in two of their matches.
All Sorts lead the competition on 34 points and they hold a four point lead over both All Settlers and Telescope Tyres.
Royal Hotel and B & Bs sit in equal fourth place on 26 points with a further three teams including IGA All Stars, Grip it & Sip it and the Melbourne Tossers next on 24 points.
They are just two points clear of the Bugmen who held the competition lead after the third round.
Swingers hold onto 10th place on 20 points, two points clear of pre-competition favourites Cellar Crows who are on 18 points.
Sharing 12th place are CWCU Kaos and Duff Mullets with 14th place shared by Birdies, Schmokers and Big Pole Chooks.
They are just ahead of the cellar dwellers Big Poles.
Results from Round 5 saw Melbourne Tossers trounce the Big Pole Chooks 137 to 159.
Telescope Tyres proved too strong for Big Poles winning 140.5 to 148.5 while All Sorts scored a 16 point victory over Schmokers 142 to 158.
In the match of the round, All Settlers scored a 3.5 shot victory over Cellar Crows, winning 139.5 to 143.
Duff Mullets recorded a mammoth 30.5 shot victory over Swingers.
If any individual is looking for a game, Swingers could certainly do with a couple of new players as they regularly field just four.
Anyone looking for a game should inform the starters room staff.
In other matches, Royal Hotel ended any hope Birdies had of climbing the ladder, winning 145 to 148.
B & B gained maximum points with an 11 shot victory over Bugmen 135 to 156.
In the final match, Grip It & Sip It received a walkover against CWCU Kaos who fielded insufficient players while IGA All Stars received the bye.
In the individual competition played in conjunction, several players will certainly feel the wrath of the handicapper.
Matt Swindle blitzed the non-handicap players section with a brilliant 30 nett.
Margaret Hogan proved wearing a moon boot is no hindrance as she was in scintillating form in returning a 30 nett as well.
Ball winners from the round were as follows:
31 Adam Dever and Michael Davies, 32 Colleen Staples and Josh Hook, 32.5 Paul Thomas, 33 Tim Magill, Peter Dixon and Tim Hogan, 33.5 Paul Murray and Brad Blanchard.
On 34 were Gary McPhee, Tim McCabe, Bill Burke, Paul Applebee and Dawn Wakefield.
Players are reminded that the starters are date stamping all cards and they must be returned and placed in the scorebox on the same day that the card is stamped.
Failure to adhere to this rule will mean the card will not count in the team’s total for the round.
The draw for Round 7, which commences on Sunday, November 29, sees Grip it & Sip it play Big Poles, Schmokers face up to the Big Pole Chooks, All Settlers play CWCU Kaos, Swingers play Melbourne Tossers, Royal Hotel will test the mettle of Telescope Tyres, and Bugmen play All Sorts.
In the match of the round, IGA All Stars play Cellar Crows.
B & B play Duff Mullets and Birdies have the bye.
