Damian Martin is out of the side for the next couple of months, but forward Jesse Wagstaff said the captain will help the team on the sidelines.
"I'm surprised at how well he's doing...He'll be around and contributing like he always does."
"We've just got to adjust...in previous seasons you're out for two weeks and you may miss one or two games in this season you could miss four," he said.
At the start of the season coach Trevor Gleeson was pleased to sign Jarrod Kenny, the decision has paid off with the 30-year-old filling the guard position left by Martin.
"Jarrod's been doing a phenomenal job, It's a point guard's responsibility to run the team and he's been doing an awesome job," Wagstaff said.
The Wildcats will be hoping to add to their five wins this season, and Wagstaff said the team is aiming to follow up Friday night's win over Townsville with back to back wins.
"We've been a bit up and down, even within games...we've had some good quarters and some down quarters,
Keep the good quarters and try to eliminate the bad ones that's the key" he said.
Perth will fly out on Tuesday morning ahead of its three away games, starting with the Illawarra Hawks on Wednesday.
The Wildcats will then travel across the Tasman to face New Zealand before finishing up against Adelaide on Wednesday week.
