I am writing to invite all Champion Post readers - young and old - to join us for a walk next Thursday (September 10) at 11am for our annual Salvation Army Aged Care Plus Walkathon.
The Walkathon raises awareness and much needed funds for disadvantaged communities.
This year, we are aiming to raise $80,000 for The Freedom Partnership, The Salvation Army’s national initiative to end modern day slavery.
It’s a great way to meet new people and to get to know us here at Rosedurnate Aged Care Plus Centre in Parkes as residents, their families, staff and the community enjoy a short walk around the Centre grounds followed by a BBQ.
We would love to meet you!
To take part in the Aged Care Plus Walkathon, put your walking shoes on and meet us at Rosedurnate Aged Care Plus Centre, 46 Orange Street, Parkes at 11am on September 10.
To find out more about how you can be involved, contact Rosemary Richardson at Rosedurnate Aged Care Plus Centre on 02 6862 2300 or email rosemary.richardson@aue.salvationarmy.org
If you can’t come along but would like to contribute towards this worthy cause, you can make a secure online donation at: www.salvos.org.au/walkathon/donate.
Many thanks,
Carrol Scarfe, Centre Manager,
Rosedurnate Aged Care Plus Centre
