Probationary Constables Michael Festejo and Luke Mylott were among 131 new recruits who graduated from the Goulburn Police Academy as part of ‘Class 325’.
Both men are now based in Parkes.
Mr Gee attended the parade in Goulburn alongside Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione and NSW Governor David Hurley.
Probationary Constables Festejo and Mylott are looking forward to being part of the Lachlan Local Area Command here in Parkes.
Michael was born and raised in the Sydney suburb of Castle Hill.
After completing secondary school at Oakhill College, he studied law at the University of Sydney for two years before deciding a career in the police force was for him.
“I decided I wanted a job that was more physically active, and one that I could involve myself in the community,” he said.
A keen basketballer, Michael also supports the Roosters and is hoping this is the year of the Tricolours.
Luke was also born and raised in Sydney and completed his schooling at Picton High.
18 months of studying Horticultural Science at University saw him gain an apprenticeship with a nursery in Sydney.
Other jobs in that field followed and after eight years, Luke decided to seek another career path.
“I felt the Police Force presented better opportunities long term,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to my time here in Parkes.”
Luke supports the Dragons and the Waratahs and when out of uniform, motor-bike riding and playing his guitar.
