The father and uncle of an Australian terrorist, who are both accused of bribing Iraqi officials, have been allowed to travel overseas to certain countries after successfully applying to have their bail varied.

Mamdouh Elomar, and his brother Ibrahim Elomar, are accused of offering a $1 million bribe to win contracts for their construction company Lifese in Iraq.
They were both put on conditional bail, which included surrendering their passports, after being charged in February.
On Tuesday the Court of Criminal Appeal overturned the ban on overseas travel after negotiations between the men's solicitors and the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mamdouh Elomar will be allowed to travel to Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Greece, China, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. Ibrahim Elomar will also be allowed to visit those countries, with the exception of Lebanon.
In return, the men will each have to offer security of $2 million, up from $10,000 set in a previous bail hearing in the local court.
Mamdouh is the father of Islamic State terrorist Mohamed Elomar, who had been photographed holding up the severed heads of victims. It is believed he was killed in a targeted airstrike in the Syrian city of Raqqa in July.
Mohamed Elomar was also accused of executing Iraqi soldiers and raping and torturing Yazidi slave girls in Syria.
Greg James QC, the barrister for both accused, said the CDPP had conceded it was appropriate the men be allowed to travel overseas because they have legitimate construction business interests.
Justice Robert Allan Hulme agreed to vary the bail conditions but continued an order preventing them associating with their co-accused John Jousif.
They will reappear in the Downing Centre Local Court next month.
