The 2012 and 2015 graduate of the prestigious CMAA Academy of Country Music has supported the legendary Troy Cassar-Daley on his My Life In Song tour, as well as opening for multi-award winners: Bob Corbett Band, Catherine Britt, Felicity Urquhart, Bill Chambers, Graham Rodger and Norma O’Hara Murphy.
“Angus, I’m really impressed by your vocals and song craft. Our music genre needs more original artists like you telling the great Australian story through song” – Lee Kernaghan, country music icon and 2008 Australian of the Year.
Commencing Thursday, October 1, and continuing through to Sunday (4th) the Festival features a family walk-up social night, Festival Concert, club lounge entertainment, busking competition and the two major talent competitions, the Central West Country Music Awards Talent Quest and the Australian Country Talent Seekers Quest.
The Festival will climax with the Gala Presentation of Awards and Winners Concert on the Sunday evening.
Programmes and entry forms containing all information are now available.
Any interested persons or prospective entrants in the many sections of the Festival are invited to obtain this information from the Parkes CMA at any of its functions, the Tourist Information Office, Radio Station 2PK, Video Ezy and the Champion Post.
The CMA is looking for support from the Parkes business community, interested organisations and individuals for sponsorships of the quest sections.
The general public is also urged to attend all functions and to make this, the 48th consecutive staging of a country music event in Parkes another resounding success.
A Country Concert of selected artists will take place on Saturday, August 15, in the Starlight Lounge of the Services Club to raise funds that will go directly into sponsorship of talent quest sections.
Come along and enjoy this concert and help the Festival fundraising.
