The ceremony was hosted by Superintendent Chris Taylor (Commander, Lachlan Local Area Command), in the company of State MP Andrew Gee (Member for Orange), Acting Assistant Commissioner Michael Robinson (Commander, Western Region), Commissioner Adam Dent (NSW State Emergency Service), Father Paul Clark (Chaplain, NSW Police Force), Cr Ken Keith (Mayor of Parkes), Cr Phyllis Miller (Mayor of Forbes), Cr Des Manwaring (Mayor of Lachlan) and Kevin Read (Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer, Lachlan LAC).
