Group 11 secretary Ross McDermott confirmed "several players" would have a case to answer next week after the events which unfolded during the match were investigated.
It all stems from an ugly fight between Westside's Shane Konz and Macquarie's Perry Meredith which led to a melee in the tunnel at Caltex Park involving a number of players, club officials and spectators.
McDermott would not confirm the exact number of players or from which clubs they were involved with but did state both clubs could face sanctions.
"We addressed several issues and the charges have been identified and players will face a general meeting next Thursday at Narromine," he said.
"We've addressed the concerns and the clubs may not be happy with it but they understand the process.
"The clubs may even have a case to answer, it may not just be an individual thing but that will all be sorted out at the meeting."
Konz and Meredith have already been dealt with for their actions on the field and have both been given three-week bans.
That suspension brings an end to Meredith's season while Konz will only return if the Rabbitohs are playing in the second week of the finals. Those who will face charges next week have been stood down from taking part in this weekend's matches but McDermott would not expand on what the exact nature of the charges were.
"For breaches of the code of conduct and for their behaviour and also some people for things like ground management," he said.
"The clubs are responsible for that and those policies were addressed and looked at for any breaches."
While McDermott said it had not been a good look for the game or competition he admitted it was an incident his committee could learn from.
McDermott spent Friday sending each club updated lists of the code of conduct as well as links to audio of NRL players reading the code to be played into the microphone at matches.
"All clubs have a shared responsibility to make sure the game runs smoothly and we'll also look at things like the tunnel and ground control at Caltex Park because it's quite a unique ground," he said.
"I'm also looking at sitting in with the referees to possibly discuss send off and separating players more.
"Clearly we need to work on it because we don't want to fall into the dark old days of melees."
