While looking to win their final two matches, Parkes Spacemen captain-coach Dennis Moran will take the opportunity for his side to work out some kinks after they secured second spot with a win over Nyngan last Sunday.

The Spacemen put in a workmanlike effort to score a methodical 34-6 victory over the Tigers and will hope for more fluency in attack when they travel to Narromine to take on the Jets tomorrow.
There is still a chance the Spacemen can claim the minor premiership, but with CYMS having the bye this week and hosting Nyngan the following Sunday, it appears likely Parkes will be forced to settle for second place.
Always happy to win, Moran believes his side have areas to work on.
“I was very happy to get the win against Nyngan last week,” Moran said.
“But, if we want to go deep into the finals then we will need to improve.
“Consistency in our attack has been lacking the last few rounds.
“We will work to improve on that in the next two weeks before the semis.
“We have lacked fluency in patches and we can’t afford for that to happen in finals footy.
“With improved communication and a bit of work,
“I think we can have it right before the semis start.
“I have been very happy with our defence, especially on Sunday when we only let in six points.
“The intensity we need was there and hopefully we can continue that,” he said.
Narromine have struggled this season with only one victory and sit in second last place.
They will be fresh from having the bye last week though, and will likely prove a good test for the Spacemen.
“You can’t take any team easily in this competition,” Moran added.
“The Jets will be raring to go after a week off and we will need to be good to win.
“If we can do the one per cent things, it will go along way to getting the points,” he said.
Dave Masoe and Tino Ionatana look likely to make their long awaited returns from international duty while up and coming star Jesse Parker has been named in the 18 man squad to make his first grade debut.
After the match tomorrow afternoon, the Spacemen are holding a cocktail party in thanks to all the ladies of the club.
“It should be a great night and is our way of saying thank you to all the ladies, whether they are mums, wives or girlfriends,” Moran said.
“We hope to get a large crowd to the Parkes Leagues Club from 7pm tomorrow night.
“It should be great fun for everyone,” he said.
The Parkes Spacemen first grade squad to take on Narromine Jets tomorrow is as follows:
Sam Dwyer, Brandon Paige, Nick Bligh, Michael Mitchell, Jesse Parker, Dennis Moran (c), Alex Prout, Epi Sadrodro, Hayden Robinson, Brandon Tago, Ben Nash, Jake Porter, Jordan Pope, Dave Masoe, Tino Ionatana, George Wright, Billy Joe Francis (18th man).
