It is alleged the teenager fled from police in a stolen car on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 9pm after police attempted to stop the vehicle in Clarinda Street for the driver to undertake a random breath test.
According to police, the driver allegedly accelerated away and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued onto Brolgan Road reaching speeds in excess of 150km/h.
The pursuit ended after the vehicle suffered mechanical failure.
Police arrested the driver and the two male occupants - all aged 16 - and they were taken to the Parkes Police Station.
The driver of the vehicle was subsequently charged with several offences including take and drive conveyance, learner unaccompanied, police pursuit, possession of a weapon upon arrest, and custody of a knife.
He was initially refused to appear in Parkes Children’s Court on Wednesday where he was again refused bail to appear in Dubbo yesterday.
At the time of going to press the outcome of his appearance in Dubbo Children’s Court was unknown.
While the two teenaged passengers were released without charge, police are continuing their investigations regarding them driving as passengers in a vehicle knowing that it was stolen.
