Popular weather presenter and co-host of Dancing With The Stars, Edwina Bartholomew (affectionately known as ‘Eddie’”, delivered a series of live crosses as part of Sunrise’s ‘Lap of the Map’ adventure.
Shire residents were out in force to welcome Eddie and her crew - some arriving well before daylight and in zero degree temperatures.
Many of those present carried posters featuring messages of greetings, while others decided to promote their town, villages or simply say ‘Hi Mum’.
The live crosses occurred every half hour as part of the national weather forecast during which time local identities including Mayor Ken Keith, John Sarkissian (CSIRO) and Glen Nagle (Visitor Centre Manager) were interviewed.
Eddie even enjoyed a ride on The Dish during one live broadcast and on another occasion got to play a game of cricket.
